Lottye E. Miner was a prominent electrical engineer in Kansas and Colorado. Together with her husband Roland Miner, she founded the consulting and analysis firm of Miner and Miner, where she worked for more than thirty years. Early organization of SWE began with student groups at Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia and Cooper Union and City College of New York in New York City in the late 1940s.
